Cabinet Eases FDI Norms for Construction

The Government, in a bid to make the construction segment more attractive for foreign investors, has eased the norms for foreign direct investment (FDI) in construction. According to the new norms only 20,000 sq metres build-up area is required for FDI, as compared to the earlier requirement of 50,000 sq metres build-up area. DDA housing scheme attracts 7.5 lakh applications

Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) 2014 Housing scheme which was launched on September 1 2014 has closed on 15th October 2014 with DDA receiving 7.5 lakh applications. The last day of the Housing Scheme attracted an overwhelming response as around 1.35 lakh applications were submitted, highest for a day since the ambitious scheme was launched.
