6 guidelines for property renovation

Renovation of the house is always preferred to purchasing a new house. But renovation involves meticulous planning and detailing. A Contractor has to finish the work within the stipulated time and the budget provided. Given below are 6 guidelines that will make the renovation work better.

 

1. Before finding a contractor, make a house plan and estimate the costs of the materials required such as paints, sanitary fittings, etc.

 

2. Enquire about the contemporary trends in constructions, contractors and estimate the costs. This will give an idea who is a good contractor and their charges.

 

3. Make sure that the contracts are valued buy the contractor chosen by the house owner.

 

4. It is always better to include a clause in the contract that makes it mandatory for the contractor pay penalty if he delays the work.

 

5. It is advised to keep some liquid cash ready when the construction goes on.

 

6. Make sure you maintain a positive relationship with the contractor so that he is always willing to help after the renovation is done.
